Funding

A project co-financed by the fund for innovation and industry

The Fund for Innovation and Industry was created in January 2018, and is currently endowed with 10 billion euros (asset sales of Engie and Renault, contributions in shares of EDF and Thalès).

The fund is expected to generate €250 million per year, which will be dedicated to financing disruptive innovation to ensure France's scientific and technological sovereignty and economic development. The detailed allocation of the Fund's resources is decided within the framework of the Innovation Council, but about €120 million is expected to be dedicated to financing the Grand Challenges.
